WEEK 3 PREDICTIONS

Last week was a rough week for the Dallas Cowboys and my overall predictions for the week. Thank goodness I was able to dominate fantasy and my Utah Utes won. The Boys' have a chance to bounce back this week in Glendale, against the Arizona Cardinals. The Red Birds have won the last four meetings and a win would do wonders for either team. The Desert has not been an easy place to win for Dallas, let's take a look at some key players in the match-up.

MARKUS GOLDEN

Markus Golden has become an anchor on this defense. He brings a lot of pressure off of the edge in the 3-4 scheme Arizona runs. Last year he finished 3rd in the league with 12.5 sacks. He has yet to record a sack, but has 9 total tackles and has brought a lot of pressure. It's a copycat league and I can see them sending Golden constantly and stacking the box like Denver did in week 2. This Arizona defense will come hungry for a win in Week 3, to put them atop the NFC West.

COWBOY'S PASS RUSH

The defensive line looks improved from last year. Week 1 they had Eli Manning running for his life. They did have a hard time in the 2nd half in week 2, but they were on the field all game. The pressure they have brought has caused, 2 interceptions, 4 fumbles, 5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. They also get back Damotre Moore this week, coming off of his 2 game suspension. Look for Taco Charlton to be more involved this week. Demarcus Lawrence has looked dominant so far, look at the chart below. Credit- ProFootballFocus.

He is number one in the league so far in pass rush productivity. Currently he has 3.5 sacks and a recovered forced fumble. He has been very good against the run as well; 3rd on the team with 12.5 tackles. Look for him to draw some double teams and get the rest of the defensive line involved. Pressuring Carson Palmer will be key in this game, due to them playing without their stud, David Johnson

CARSON PALMER

Carson Palmer has had a tougher start than usual to the season, but he is still one of the better quarterbacks in the game. He has thrown 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions so far this season, but he has been without his biggest weapon on the field. Dallas has been strong against the run the last couple seasons, finishing 1st in 2016. In order to get a win, Palmer is going to have to make some plays through the air. They will hope to get a run game going with their back-up running backs, but ultimately Carson needs to be the man.

PLAY YOUR STRENGTHS

Week 2 in Denver, 9 carries for 8 yards!? Need I say more!? Dallas' strategy fell right into the trap of the Denver Broncos. They trapped the Boy's into having Dak Prescott throw 50 times, against possibly the most talented secondary in the league. They have to stick to what makes them good and run the ball. Ezekiel Elliott will be looking to redeem himself as a teammate and statistically as well. As I said, Arizona will probably come with the same game plan and Dallas has to be prepared. Keep running the ball to tire the defense and set up the pass naturally.

PREDICTIONS

Tough game, but Dallas bounces back with a win. 24-20.
