WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS

We head into Week 4 after a crazy week of football in Week 3. There were a lot of competitive games on tap last week. This week has a lot of big and important match-ups, this being one of them. Both the Los Angeles Rams & the Dallas Cowboys will fight to stay atop their division. Let"s take a look at some specifics to get u ready for the game Sunday.

TODD GURLEY

Todd Gurley had a breakout performance last week and is looking to have a bounce back campaign in 2017. He got in the end-zone 3 times last week and was a workhorse for the Rams. He had 28 carries for 113 yards and had 5 catches for 36 yards. He has a lot of confidence going into this game, so much he had this to say last week;

“Next week, we’ve got Dallas,” Gurley said, via the Dallas Morning News. “We’ve got a little break. So we’re gonna whoop up” on the Cowboys.

We will see what happens on Sunday. I picked him as a spotlight player in this game, because he will need a big game to get a win for the Rams. Him getting some big gains will put pressure on the defense and will allow Jared Goff to get into a groove. Gurley has gotten into the end-zone 6 times this year! Let's see if Dallas can put a stop to that this week.

THE DALLAS RUN DEFENSE

Perfect transition from Gurley, to Dallas against the run. The run defense has been good so far this season and it was their strength last season. They will be going against the best running team they have faced so far. They are holding teams to 87 rushing yards per game and they are going to want to try and shut down the run early. Look for Sean Lee and Jaylon Smith to make a lot of plays. If they can force the Rams into passing and get them away from the run, it should bode well for them. The Cowboy's pass rush has been terrific and they will hope to make L.A. abandon the run.

RAMS DEFENSIVE LINE

The Ram's defensive line is arguably the best in the league, in my opinion. The combination of talent they have up front can cause a lot of problems for opposing offenses. Aaron Donald is the biggest headache on that line.You can only hope to slow him down, but when you do, it opens things up for others like, Robert Quinn & Connor Barwin. They will be looking for a big game as a unit. This is the 3rd straight game they have Donald back and they have had a few extra days to work together. Right now they rank towards the bottom in defensive statistics, but don't let that fool you. This front 4 can change and control the game and make it tough to move the ball.

DAK PRESCOTT

Dak Prescott broke out in a big way last week in Arizona. He put up 3 touchdowns in week 3 and got his swagger back. He will be looking to repeat that performance at home this weekend. There will be pressure coming from the front 7 from L.A. and he is going to have to make some plays with his legs. The read option is something I could see them using early to catch the Rams off guard and Dak has to make the right reads. He will need to be patient and make some plays through the air and that should open things up for Ezekiell Elliott. A balanced offense from Dallas can be dangerous and it will all start with Prescott.
